Marley is a Licensed Social Worker (LSW) and a certified Level I Usui Reiki practitioner. She has been working in the mental health field since the end of her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology that she obtained from the University of Tennessee-Knoxville in 2019. Shortly after obtaining her Bachelor’s degree she pursued and obtained her Master’s in Social Work from Simmons University in 2021. From her experience in working in the mental health field and through her education, Marley has fine-tuned her ability to work with individuals of all ages and diverse populations with a completely open-mind and heart and prides her self in her honesty and genuine nature. She is very dedicated to meeting all others where they are mentally, emotionally, and physically and truly believes that all individuals are capable of fulfilling their fullest potentials when they are truly dedicated. Until those she works with are dedicated and educated enough she is committed to aiding them through the use of elements of cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), motivational interviewing, narrative, art, and music therapy, and internal family systems (IFS) therapy. She enjoys educating clients and their support systems of mental health-related issues to increase their knowledge and awareness. She specializes in in-person trauma-informed and client-centered care but has a willingness to meet her clientele over telehealth for the ease of their convenience. She has experience with working with individuals, couples, and families and only has a preference to work with clientele older than six years-old. She is very dedicated to meeting clients where they are, no matter their circumstances, and with utmost compassion and support.
Marley was born and raised army-affiliated and in a multi-racial family, and though she has never personally served, she has knowledge and experience regarding the military lifestyle and its accompanying factors that may impact current and veteran service members and their families. She was born in Fort Campbell, KY and moved around with her army family her whole life until her and her military husband decided to stick their roots in Ohio in December of 2021. She is a dog-mom of two and has a serious love for animals, memes, food of all cuisines, travel, spirituality, art, and music.
