What is reiki?
Reiki evolved in Japan in the late 1800s and is a commonly known alternative therapy offered by many hospitals and clinics around the world. The energy of the practitioner is transferred to the patient through the practioner’s hands. Healing energy is directed to trouble spots within the patient's body to facilitate revitalization, promote relaxation, and relieve tense muscles holding memories of pain or trauma.

What can I expect in a session?
You will remain fully clothed during the session. Aromatherapy, crystals, blankets, and props may be used to get comfortable as needed. Due to reiki's energy-based nature, light touch may be used and is driven by the energetic impulse experienced by the provider. Consent is always requested for touch prior to sessions.
How can I expect to feel during a session?
You may feel comforting heat or subtle pulsations. This helps create a relaxing, peaceful environment. It is not uncommon for clients to drift into a meditative state or “sleep,” waking up refreshed and feeling more clarity.
How long are the sessions?
Sessions are 60 minutes.
How much does a reiki session cost?
Individual sessions are available for $100. We do offer sliding scale rates. Packages are available for discounted rates.
How does reiki complement counseling?
Reiki helps to bring balance back to the chakra system, which are the energy points in your body. Many clients use reiki in conjunction with other healthcare services, including therapy and counseling.
