Krystal Gesicki is a Licensed Independent Social Worker with Supervision Designation (LISW-S) and a Licensed Independent Chemical Dependency Counselor with a Gambling Endorsement (LICDC-GAMB). She earned her Master of Science in Social Administration from Case Western Reserve University and has advanced training in trauma, addiction, and integrative therapies.
Krystal is am EMDR certified therapist and trained in Level 1 Internal Family Systems (IFS), an evidence-based, parts-based approach that helps individuals understand and heal the different aspects of themselves shaped by life experiences. She integrates EMDR and IFS to support deep, lasting healing—helping clients process trauma while building a more compassionate relationship with themselves.
Krystal specializes in working with adults navigating complex trauma, including those who often feel both “too much” and “not enough.” She works with individuals who have learned to hold everything together on the outside while struggling internally, helping them understand the protective patterns that have developed over time.
She has particular experience supporting individuals who are:
– Processing complex or developmental trauma
– Experiencing emotional overwhelm, dissociation, or internal conflict
– Feeling stuck in cycles of self-criticism, shame, or avoidance
Krystal’s approach is grounded in the belief that no part of you is broken. The parts of yourself that reach for relief—through substances, behaviors, or disconnection—have been working to help you survive. Through IFS, she helps clients get to know these parts with curiosity and compassion, while EMDR supports the release of long-held burdens.
Together, you’ll work to better understand your inner world, reduce internal conflict, and reconnect with a sense of steadiness, clarity, and self-trust.
Outside of therapy, Krystal proudly serves as a devoted can-opener to her two cats. You might find her thrifting for hidden treasures, humbly overestimating her golf skills, or knee-deep in a craft project she fully intends to finish.
