Internship Opportunities
Internship Program at CLE Counseling & Wellness Center
Built for Growth. Rooted in Community.
At CLE Counseling & Wellness Center, we believe that becoming a strong clinician happens through experience, support, and intentional mentorship.
Our internship program is designed to give you meaningful, hands-on clinical experience while being part of a team that truly values collaboration, learning, and accessible care.
We intentionally keep our internship cohort small and personalized, so each intern receives the support, supervision, and opportunities needed to grow with confidence.
What Your Experience Will Include
Individual & Group Supervision
Interns are able to receive both weekly individual supervision and group supervision, allowing space for skill-building, case consultation, and connection with other clinicians.
Hands-On Clinical Experience
You will have the opportunity to work directly with clients while developing your clinical voice, documentation skills, and treatment planning abilities in a real-world setting.
Shadowing Opportunities
When appropriate, interns can observe and co-lead sessions to gain exposure to different therapeutic styles, interventions, and clinician approaches.
Group & Practice Involvement
Interns may have opportunities to engage in group work and gain insight into how a group practice operates day-to-day.
A Supportive, Collaborative Environment
We prioritize creating a space where you can ask questions, explore challenges, and grow without pressure to have everything figured out.

Our Role in the Community
At CLE Counseling and Wellness Center, accessibility matters.
Our internship program allows us to expand access to care by offering pro bono and sliding scale services to individuals who may not otherwise be able to receive consistent services.
As an intern, you’ll be part of that mission. You’ll gain meaningful experience while helping us meet real needs in our community.
Who Thrives Here
We tend to be a good fit for interns who:
- Value connection, collaboration, and community
- Are open to feedback and committed to growth
- Want real clinical experience, not just observation
- Care about making mental health services more accessible
