Meet Allise Giesel
LPCC

she/her/hers

Allise Giesel is a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) who works with couples and adults navigating relationship challenges, communication difficulties, and life transitions.

She earned her Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Cleveland State University and has experience supporting both adolescents and adults across a range of concerns, including anxiety, depression, trauma, and relationship issues.

Allise has training in the Gottman Method, an evidence-based approach to couples therapy that focuses on improving communication, managing conflict, and rebuilding connection. She helps couples better understand their interaction patterns, strengthen emotional intimacy, and develop practical tools to navigate challenges more effectively.

In her individual work, Allise takes a narrative and strengths-based approach, helping clients explore the stories they’ve been told—or have come to believe about themselves—and how those stories shape their relationships, identity, and choices. She works collaboratively with clients to identify patterns, build insight, and create space for meaningful change.

Allise has particular experience working with:

– Couples looking to improve communication, rebuild trust, or navigate conflict
– Individuals exploring relationship patterns and attachment dynamics
– Clients navigating anxiety, depression, or life transitions
– Those working through the impact of past experiences on current relationships

She brings a style that is open, collaborative, and direct, balancing warmth and humor with honest reflection and practical tools. Allise aims to create a space where clients feel comfortable being real, while also being supported in making meaningful changes.

Outside of the office, Allise enjoys traveling, reading, hiking, and competitive powerlifting.
