Meet Emma Parker
CT

(she/her/hers)

Emma Parker is a counselor trainee (CT) completing her Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at John Carroll University (May 2026). She works with adults navigating anxiety, life transitions, performance pressure, and identity development.

Emma brings a collaborative, client-centered approach to therapy, grounded in Motivational Interviewing and a strong respect for each person’s unique experiences, values, and goals. She focuses on creating a space where clients feel heard, understood, and supported while also working toward meaningful, individualized change.

Emma has received training in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), an evidence-based approach used to help process and reduce the impact of distressing or overwhelming experiences. She integrates this work thoughtfully, with attention to pacing, safety, and each client’s readiness.

She has a particular interest in working with individuals who are:

– Managing anxiety, stress, or burnout
– Navigating life transitions or identity exploration
– Experiencing performance-related pressure (academics, athletics, or career)
– Looking to build confidence, motivation, and direction

Emma values the learning process and actively collaborates with her supervisors and team to provide thoughtful, well-supported care. Clients working with Emma benefit from both her dedication and the additional layer of clinical support built into the training process.

Emma is under the supervision of Samantha Willi, LPCC-S E.1800536-SUPV.

Outside of the office, Emma is a proud dog mom to a sassy golden retriever named Momo. As a former collegiate athlete, she enjoys long scenic walks, staying active, watching movies, and spending time with friends and family.
